    Change Your Life

    Hello again lovelies,

A sad day came when my beloved Paul Smith purse broke which I had for years! When my parents took a trip to New York (without me may I add) they saw this studio with purses and bought me one. The designs on them were all different and based off graffiti around the city of New York.

On one side of mine it has N.Y.C writing and on the other is says 'Change Your Life'. I think this is quite a nice quote to carry round with me and reminds me to keep challenging myself and getting the best out of life.

I love these size purses as they are a statement piece, easy to find in my unnecessary massive bags, and fits all my stuff in! I am just in love with this and think it is really great quality :)

What kind of purse do you like? Any other statement pieces you'd recommend?

    Valentines Inspired Nails

    Hello again my lovelies

    Happy Valentines Day

Getting into the spirit of Valentines Day I thought I would so come valentines inspired nails. I have to apologise for the quality of the photos, they are just off my phone! I went onto pinterest and used some different photos for inspiration.

I used 2 Barry M nail polishes in Bright Pink and Matte White, I have a lot of pinks but thought this one was a really nice one for valentines day :)

To create the patterns I used my new nail art pens that one of my bloggers recommended :) I bought them off eBay for less then £2 which I think is really good :) I used the colour as bases then using different brushes dipped them into the polish and carefully drew onto the nails! I think I have a lot of practising to do to make the look good but for my first attempt I think I did quite well :)

As me and my boyfriend live at different ends of the country we aren't seeing each other this Valentines Day, however these were delivered to my house this morning :) roses and chocolates are the perfect gift for when you can't be together! I feel like a very lucky girl :)

I hope you are having a lovely day and spending it with loved ones whether that's a partner, family or friends :)

Any nail art patterns you would recommend?

    Lovestruck by Vera Wang

    Hello again my lovelies,

I find it really hard to find a perfume that fits me and smells all day! I normally find with perfumes that I can smell them to start with but once I have walked out the door the smell is gone! I have tried many different brands but haven't found the one for me yet!

When I was on holiday last year I tried Vera Wang Lovestruck and loved the smell, both my parents mentioned how lovely it smelt on me and how they could smell it hours after I had sprayed it on :) for Christmas I received this bottle and couldnt be happier, every time I wear it some mentions how lovely it smells and how it suits me :)

The packaging is so pretty and looks so nice on my dressing table, I love the flowers and how much detail is in it :) I think once its ran out I might even just keep the bottle!

It has a lovely floral smell to it, if you haven't tried it and fancy a lovely perfume for the spring I would suggest having a look at this :) I think once I have gone through this I might get another!!

Which perfumes suit you best? Any Spring recommendations?

    September GlossyBox

    Hello again my sweets :)

I know this is a bit late because I have had this box for ages now but I didn't want to leave the September box out so better late then never I guess :P

This month GlossyBox are celebrating London :) I just love the Union Jack this month and think these boxes are just great for keeping and reusing as they are really good quality and super cute!!

My internet is playing up so couldn't include all the photos I wanted but hopefully you get the idea.

This month there was a GB Mag in included as well as the description sheet of all the product that are include :) Its only small but includes some of the GlossyBox favourite items and this Autumns trends.

Toni&Guy Classic Shine Serum: This is the full size bottle and its limited edition. Its a high shine and gloss serum that also controls frizz! You use 1-2 pumps and apply to the ends of the hair :) I don't look after my hair every much so products like this make me think more about my hair care. My mum always has super shiny and lovely hair and I have always been so jealous!! She uses something along the same lines as this, so I'm excited to see if it makes my hair look as nice :) - Full size £7.19

Rimmel Stay Blushed: I have always been rubbish at applying cream blushes so I was a bit worried I would be the same with this one! Its a blusher but in a tube, a small amount goes a long way so be careful when using! Its really light and meant to last 24 hours. Its a great colour for Autumn so think it will get a lot of use :) - Full size £4.49

Elizabeth Arden Untold: I haven't tried any of these fragrances before! The tiny bottle is really lovely and its a good size for a tester :) it has a lovely floral note to it which I love so this really is perfect for me. Its quite an expensive perfume so its really nice to be able to try it out :)
    - 50ml £48 and 100ml £69

Be a Bombshell Onyx Eye Liner: This is a felt tip liner and in the past I have found that most felt tips transfers on to the top of my lid which is really annoying! Hopefully this one will stay and wont keep transferring! Its really easier to create a thin or thick line with this pen by the way its shaped and says it dries within seconds!! I have to say I think a different product might have been a bit more beneficial as I received an eye liner in a box before! - Full size $14

Eylure Pre Glued Lashes: I have never owned a good pair of lashes before so it was nice to see these in my box! I don't wear them a lot but in the past I have only bought Primark ones which aren't the best :/ these are already glued so means less fuss however I'm not sure how long the glue will stay sticky! As I'm back to uni I am sure these will make an appearance soon. - One pack £5.06

Overall GlossyBox has been good again, I wouldn't say this has been my favourite box as I haven't fallen in love strange away with anything but its still nice to try everyone out :)

What did you get in your box? And is GlossyBox something you would like to get?

    Benefits Skincare Testers

    Hello again my sweets :)

When it comes to skin care, I don't have a clue what I need or which products are good! Since joining the beauty blogging world I have been reading as many skincare posts as I can to see what products people love and what I need in my morning and night time routine :)

I have read a lot about the Benefit eye cream and really wanted to try it, however when I went to my local stand I saw they were doing a range of tester size skin care products! This was perfect for me as I could try 6 different things and see what I liked! I also gave me instruction on how to use them and when I needed each product :) this pack cost £12 and I have to admit I haven't seen it since I bought it so not sure if it was a one off or just hard to find!

On the back of the box it tell you what each product does and how to use them, as I would class myself as a beginner I thought this was perfect and meant I could test them out the way they are meant to be used! It also gave me a clear idea of what was important and what I need to add to my small routine I have now.

I loved that they came in a small plastic make-up bag as it means they are prefect to take away on holiday or when I stay over at someone's house! I have all the products I need in the prefect size :) the size of the bottles couldn't be better, great to put in your bag and also big enough to get enough uses out of them I feel like I have properly tested them out :) Benefit as a brand I adore,  I think their packaging is the best and really stands out from all the others! When I saw the full size of the skin care I loved them, they have the cork tops and the vintage look about them! I'm a sucker for things that look good, if it has a pretty bottle I must have it :P and the tester range also look so cute and in my bathroom I love how they look as a collection.

I was really excited about the face and eye cream as I had read so many rave reviews! I have to admit before this I had never owned an eye cream! However after using it I would never go back to not having an eye cream! This combination is great and makes my face feel so soft and look so much more radiant :) the other four products were also great to try out, took me a while to work out what they were all used for and in which order you use them but when I cracked it I really loved the range! I feel that all these products have done wonder to my skin and I would love to purchase them all as full size but I can't put my bank balance through that right now! In the future I would look into buying them one at a time and build them up slowly :)

Overall I was really impressed and would recommend people testing out this small pack :) I think the eye cream would be my first buy and hopefully the rest will follow :P

Have you tried Benefits skin care? Which was your favourite?

    Liebster Blog Award

    Hello again my sweets :)

So yesterday I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by CandlesAndCurls :) she has just started blogging like me and has some really good posts so go check her out :) would also like to say a massive thank you to her because she really did make my day!! The Liebster Award is away of people finding blogs and to get them noticed by a wider audience :) I have seen some of the blogs I follow have already been nominated for the award and I thought it was such a good idea for people to be find and also encourage smaller blogs like mine to keep going :)

Candles and Curls came up with 11 questions to ask all of her nominees, so I will prosed to answer them, then show my nominees and the questions I would like to ask them :)

    1. What made you start blogging?
I started my blog as a way of documenting my experiences and just general things that were happening in my life, however when I started reading blogs and getting more into it I started including product reviews and making my little bloging space about everything I love :) I didn't want to narrow my blog to a particular area like lifestyle or make-up because I enjoy writing about it all :)

    2. When did you start blogging?
I published my first every post on the 15th of April 2013 and it was on my 6th Gear Experience were I drove a Lamborghini LP560 and I have to say I wish all my poster were about amazing cars I had drove :P if you would like to read that post you can find it here :)

    4. Shorts or skirts?
I would have to say skirts, for once England has had an alright summer and I have just been in love with my maxi skirts! I don't really like my legs so find maxi skirts the perfect option :) I also wear skirts out more then shorts on holiday and night out

    5. High street or high end?
For clothes I would say high street, fashion changes so much and high end is so expensive I would never bring myself to spend that much on something, however I do love high end make-up and treating myself once and a while (maybe more) to some expensive make-up :) I also adore Mulberry handbags and if I could I would have them all!

    6. What is your best piece of advice for new bloggers?
Blog the things you are passionate about and the things you would like to read! Don't blog for the sake of it or about something you thing you should because someone else has because you wont enjoy that and the whole point of blogs are to enjoy them :) I would also say dont get hung up if you haven't posted in a while, just do it about your own pace :)

    7. What is your favourite TV show?
New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, 90210, Wild Life Documentary's :) so quite a mix :P

    8. Topshop or River Island?
If you had asked me this last year I would have said River Island as I thought they were better quality and not as expensive, however for some reason I don't really think that any more  I think Topshop caters for a wider range of styles whereas River Island have gone a bit strange for my liking :P

    9. Favourite party outfit?
Depends on my mood and where we are going but normally a black dress or leather style leggings and a nice top! When it comes to heels, I will wear them for a posh night otherwise its flats all the way!!

    10. Night in or night out?
As a student I feel like I should say night out but the truth is night in :P I would much prefer a night in watching a film with family, friends or the boyfriend and be nice and comfy :P I am definitely say I'm not a proper student, but when I'm at uni I normally go out once a week which I don't think is too bad

    11. Your favourite blog post that you have written?
This is a hard question as I enjoy writing all of them, I do love reviewing my make-up however I would say my favourite to write are the more personal/lifestyle ones :) the once that have come to mind are my Dyslexia post as it was very personal but I wanted people to know about it and to help others that have it! Also my pet Terrapin Duncan post :) I will be doing a more updated one of these when he moves to his new home in my uni flat!

I really enjoyed answering them questions, there were some really good ones :) so now it comes to my part of the post! First I will explain the rules then my questions and the blogs I would like to nominate :)

    3) Favourite blog you follow at the moment?
    4) Who inspires you? (Doesn't have to be a blogger, just in general)

    Disappointing Products

    Hello again my sweets :)

I hate it when I buy something I have really wanted to try and it turns out I don't like it or it's not what I expect!! So this is just my opinion on some products I haven't loved.

I bought the Rimmel primer because I hadn't tried one before and this was the cheapest one I could find, this product shows that cheap isn't always the best way! I didn't like how it felt on my face and didn't think it really did any of the things it says on the bottle. For my first experience of primers I didn't understand the hype! The second product is the Me Me Me flawless concealer, my first problem was the colour, it was to light which I know was my fault :P however it's really thin and doesn't really conceal anything, I found it really hard to make it blend into my foundation and look natural. The brush was one from SuperDrug, I think it's their own brand. It didn't pick up product and had impossible to apply my conceal evenly or anything! I used it one and never again!

I think the most disappointing was the YSL French manicure set, my Dad bought me this as a treat because I had really wanted it but it was to expensive for me to buy at the time. The tip isn't to bad but doesn't apply a think enough layer, the worse thing was the Pastel Rose, when I put it over the top it took some of the white off and then the brush became all sticky and the polish wouldn't come out any more. I was really upset when I didn't get the results I thought I would as it had been a gift :(
I love liquid eye liner, I wear it most days however I have tried these two felt tip ones and both end up transferring on top of my lid, doesn't matter how thin I draw the line it always happens! Not sure if it was just these two pens or felt tips that don't like me!

Everyone knows about the famous 'BeautyBlender' sponge, I didn't want to fork out £20 for the real one just in case I didn't like it so bought a pack of 4 dupes from Amazon for about £5, I found them really hard even after wetting and that they just took in the foundation instead on blending it round my face! Not sure if it was because they were cheap but they have put me off trying the original one.

The last product are these nail polishes I bought from Next, they were £2.50 each and me and my Mum wanted to try out the Suede effect and we liked these 3 colours. The main reason I didn't like these was the actual Suede effect, I didn't like how they looked dull on the nail, I like my polishes super shiny :) I found they also chip easily!

What are your disappointing products? Tried any of these?

    August GlossyBox - High Flyers

    Hello again my sweets,

On Saturday I came home from a very busy and hard day at work to find a little surprise for me! It was this months GlossyBox, I love getting a little present every month and not knowing what will be in the box this time :) this months was called 'High Flyers' and all the products inside are from different parts of the world :) I really like the theme and that it allows you to try products which you might not normally be able to get your hands on! The only down side to this theme is it reminded me that I haven't been away this year :( please someone take me somewhere hot for a week, pretty please :P

When I opened the box I noticed it was a lot lighter then the other boxes I have received so I new they would be small items or sample sizes. The booklet that come with each box are really useful and have great little descriptions of of each item :) I have to say once again I really like the box and think I will use all the items :)

Emite Eyelash Curlers - These are from Sweden and been designed by make-up artists to suit all eye shapes. I can never bring myself to buy expensive eyelash curlers because I am never sure if they are really worth it so I'm excited to try these out and see the difference between my cheap ones :) - £20

Tresemme Keratin Smooth - This brand if from the USA and says to be a shot of concentrated treatment to restore your hair. You apply to damaged hair but avoiding roots. I really don't look after my hair enough as I should so hair products are always welcome :P I really hope this works because my hair is in need of a good treatment! - £1.49

Oceane Make-up Remover Pen - This isn't available in the UK yet and is from Brazil. Its designed to touch up make-up throughout the day and remove any small mistakes you might make when applying in the morning :) it comes with 3 extra nibs so hopefully will last a while! I have never used a product like this but can see it coming is handy as I always mess up on lipstick and eye liner! - £unknown

Urban Veda Skin Care - This range is based on principles found in Indian, the tester I was given was the purifying day cream, I do love trying out new creams and face care however in my June box I received a day cream so think a different tester might have been more beneficial and better for me to try out. The brand does look good and says it protects your skin from the environment so will be nice to try it out. - Full size £7.99

Jelly Pong Pong Eye Liner - I have never used anything from jelly pong pong but I have heard great things from them, they are a UK brand and I love their packaging for their products :) mine was the black liner and it looks like they do a couple more different colours! I'm pleased mine was black because I always wear black liner and never used one like this before. This is a two in one product as you can also smudge it out as an eye shadow :) - £10.50

So once again GlossyBox has delivered, it's really strange to thing I'm half way through my 6 month subscription. At the moment I do think I'll be asking for it again at Christmas :)

Are you subscribed to anything like GlossyBox?
If so let me know and what you received :)

    Mystery Selection - Illamasque

    Hello again my sweets,

I have been a very lucky girl and won this Illamasque mystery eye and nails selection :) the lovely ladies at Beauties Unlocked had a give away for reaching 200 followers, go check their blog out, they are really lovely and have some great beauty tips!! I entered because I don't own any Illamasque and thought why not :) as with most things I enter I just forget about them because I have no luck and never win! However, I was wondering round my local town and received an email from Lisa and Carrieanna staying I had won and I was so excited and did a little dance (yes people stared!)

So the post came on Monday and the postman handed my this box shape parcel and I knew straight away what it was!! I ripped it open and found a really sweet note from the girls and this lovely box with 6 full size Illamasque products :)

The packaging it came in was very luxurious with gold writing and the outline of the mystery products :) You don't know what you have until you open it up! All you know is there will be 2 eye shadows and 2 nail polishes :) the other two items are already known :)

So in this box of goodies there was the 2 products already know which were the Liquid metal eye shadow base in Electrum and Precision Ink in Glister! The two eye shadows are Shiver and Fiasco and the polishes are Shrapnel and Faux Pas :) I have to say I love everything which I think is really good saying I didn't pick anything so think I have been extra lucky!

I have worn this all week and that's why they are a little chipped in the picture but to say I have worn them since last Monday I think this pretty good :) I also didn't apply a top coat because I wanted to see how long they lasted without one! The shimmery orange one is so pretty and perfect for a summer colour, I haven't worn it on its own yet so might be be a bit much on all nails but will soon find out :) the purple is a matte purple, I don't have any matte polishes so this was lovely to try. I normally like my nails nice and shiny but I have to say I love the matte effect :) both of these are so lovely and very easy to apply, I applied 2 coats to achieve the full colour! Love them both and they look so nice in my collection.

I have been testing these out all week, the blue wouldn't have been a colour I would have chosen but I think that adds to the experience as you get to experiment with different colours! The white shimmery colour looks lovely all over the lid but also as a pretty highlight :) they are really nicely pigmented and have great staying power!

These were the 2 products that were in every box :) the gold shadow is a creme shadow and is so pigmented and looks so lovely as a night eye, on its own or as a base it provides a nice strong colour and a bit of glitter :P its also really good to blend out if you don't want a really strong colour! However, I think the biggest surprise for me was how much I love this liner!! I haven't been wearing shadow to much on my lids and just a thin line of black, so with this I just apply the glitter above the black and makes the eyes a bit more special :) the liner was so easy to apply I think I might see what other colours they have :)

Overall I love all these products and have had so much fun testing them out :) I can't thank Lisa and Carrieanna enough for this give away!! They also have twitter which is linked here if you want to also follow them :)

I am now a very proud owner of Illamasque :D

Have you ever won a give away? What's your favourite Illamasque product?
