Chocolate Pasta Pudding

Hello again my lovelies,

So I am back to university, which is bad and good! For my last night at home my mum and I cooked chocolate pasta :D my mum brought it back from her holiday last year and we just haven't got round to making it. When we were looking through our recipe books we came across one for chocolate pasta and thought it would be a great to try on my last night!

It was really simple to make and you don't need a lot :) I'm not 100% where sells chocolate pasta but we did find some in a hotel chocolate shop, so if you wanted to try this out I would look there :)

I couldn't eat the whole bowl because it was really filling but it tasted amazing! Who would have thought chocolate pasta would have been so yummy :) but they are my two favourite things so it was a winner from the start!!

Is there anything strange you have made for a pudding? Ever tried chocolate pasta?

Happy Birthday Mummy

Hello again my sweets,

I have been very busy with revision and exams recently (who puts exams straight after Christmas). Yesterday was my first exam and I'm so pleased its over!

Yesterday was also my Mummy's birthday :) she came up to Newcastle with me for my exam and she just went sale shopping! However, after my exam we met up and I treated her to lunch! I had heard great things about this cafe need my house in Newcastle, its called The Butterfly Cabinet in Heaton. I hadn't been before and I was just going off recommendations, when we were walked towards the cafe I have to admit I was worried. Everywhere looked really quiet and not my mums type of place!

When we walked in we were very pleasantly surprised.

The inside was so lovely with old pieces of furniture which didn't match, art work from local people and vintage boards. It had such a lovely vibe and the staff were so welcoming :)

The food and drinks were just another thing though!! I had a toffee banana milkshake which was to die for and mum had a proper green tea :)

We both got burgers, mine was just their classic with bacon and mum added brie to hers! The portions were very generous! I think this might be the first thing that has ever defeated me!! It was the nicest burgers I have had which good old proper chips :) the prices of everything were so responsible for when you got and the quality of everything!

Mum loved her little treat and after we rolled back to the car because we were so full we drove back home for birthday celebrations with my Dad and Brother! I was the prefect way to spend the day after my exam and spend time with my mum :)

I would say if your in the area, The Butterfly Cabinet is worth a view, I know I will be visiting it a lot next term :P

Only one more exam to go and then I will be FREEEEE
You have no idea how much this makes me happy :D

What did you do for birthday treats?

July Favourites

Hello again my sweets :)

So the end of another month! We are now closer to 2014 then 2012 which I find strange because I swear 2013 hasn't even start yet!! This is my first monthly favourites so I hope you enjoy the things I have been loving this month :)

Make-up I have been loving this month have been my Naked palette because I have been out some nights and been to the races so I have been using 'sidecar', 'toasted' and 'hustle' a lot :) everyone in the blogging world raves about and I really think its worth it! Also I was given a YSL foundation tester that I've been using and I really like the coverage, I would said its light/medium but it is really nice,at first I wasn't sure but I seem to be turning to it along at the moment :) underneath that I have been using the Smashbox primer which I will be buying the larger size however I think I might by the colour correct one! MUA has been a new brand for me this month, I bought some of their blushers, bronzer and a lip stick, however their blusher in 'Bon Bon' stud out for me and for £1 you cant go wrong :) the last product is my Scandal Eye in 005 nude, this nude eye liner really makes your eyes stand out when applied to the bottom water line :)

Lip care and colour have also been big this month, I received the Fig and Rouge lip balm in my June glossybox and its amazing, it really sits and sinks into your lips, it leaves a bit of a red tin which I also like so on days I don't want to wear a lip stick this is what I turn to! The balmi lip balm is what I have been using everyday when I put my make-up on. It smells amazing and feels so nice! I think it has £2 off at the moment in Boots so go grab one :) Sleek pout paint in Mauve Over has been my colour, these are so highly pigment you only need the smallest pot then use a brush to cover your lips! I really want to get some more of these :) the last one is a really random favourite! We were given these after our meal in Fazenda, they are just tooth picks but have a minty end which I like, I have just been carrying these round and they have been really handy!

Some more beauty favourites have been my Soap and Glory body wash in Sugar crush, I love the whole range of this which I have mentioned in a past post but I really have been loving this, also my Holliser body spray in 'Crystal Cove', I have had this for so long and recently gone back to it because it's a lovely summer, I really love these and would highly recommend them :) the last thing in this section is my BaByliss hair curler! When I first bought this I wasn't to sure have to make the most of it and make the curls nice, however I watched some YouTube videos and had a practise and now think its turned into one of my favourite hair styles :)

Food
I have tried to be healthy this month so been making sure I have breakfast everyday, my favourite has been Speical K in their range of flavours! Also I have been loving fresh fruit like Strawberries, Kiwis and Melons :)

Songs
I'm not a massive music person but I have to say I have been re-loving Little Comets and Mumford and Sons :) and there has been favourite which is 1D new song 'Best song ever'

Sport
Been a massive month for sport with the Lions Rubgy tour which they won, Wimbledon which Andy Murray won, Tour de France which Chris Froome won and F1 which Lewis Hamleton won the last race in Hungury! I have watched all of these quite religiously and been really into :) and I have to say it's been a great month for Britian :)

TV Shows
I don't watch as much TV as I used to but wanted to mention one show, New Girl on E4, its amazing and so so funny! I really can't get enough of it and it makes my Tuesdays nights. Its so well written and all the charaters are funny, go check it out!

Bloggers
I love finding new bloggers and reading everyone's posts :) I have really been loving reading Jennie from Sailboat, Lisa and Carrieanna from Beauty Unlocked  and Gemma from Miss Makeup Magpie

Youtubers
I have my standard YouTubers which I love and most people do, however this month I have been lovely daily YouTubers like Fun for Louis and Daily Grace and then there is where I get most of my news from SourceFed

Fathers Day Meal

Hello again,

So today is fathers days, we went to visit my brother in Leeds and had a bit of a shop round because Leeds has such nice shops from high street to high end which I love :)

However, my main reason for the post is where we went for dinner. I wasn't going to blog about it, but it was just to amazing not to. I have to say sorry first though because the photos are from my phone so they aren't the best quality.

The restaurant we went to was called Fazenda in Leeds and its rated my trip advisor as one of the top 10 places to eat in Leeds.

For drink I ordered my favourite cider of all time which is the Rekorderlig strawberry and lime cider. My drink of chose is always flavoured cider and this one is just perfect for summer, I thought it was really cute that it came with a strawberry and lime as well :)

There isn't a menu here, just a salad bar with so many different types and sauces. All the salads were fresh and very tasty I have to say, there was a large range which catered for everyones needs.

The selling point though was the meat. I am a massive meat lover so the idea of having 7 different types of meat was ideal. For the lunch menu there was 7 meats and for the tea time menu there was 14. The chefs came round each table with different meat and cut you slices, you could have as much as you wanted and which part of the joint you preferred as well. In the picture below is the rump beef, but my favourite was the lamb :) all the meat was cooked to the highest standard and I liked that you could try it all even if that type of meat might not have been one you would have picked.

One of the really cleaver ideas is these little cards. Each person at the table has one of these and one side is green, the other is red. These are indicators to whether you want more meat or not, if you want the chef to stop at your table you have it on green, however if you need a break or happy with what you have turn it to red and you can enjoy your meal until you want some more :)

I would highly recommend Fazenda, it is quite expensive so I would say its perfect for special occasions and if you are like me and love meat this is the place for you :)

Which is your favourite place to eat?

Hope you have enjoyed reading and speak to you soon
Bye :)
