Sleek Au Naturel Palette

Hello again :) thought I would do a review on my Sleek eye-shadow palette today

I've had this palette a couple of months now and have used it quite a bit (some colours more then others). This is the first proper palette I have owned and think it was a good one to start off with. This is the Au Naturel 601 and thought the colours where really good for day to day make-up but also buildable for more smoky night time eyes.

I think it comes with a lovely selection of base colours and crease colours so you can make different combination as you wish :) I also really like how most are matte but there are some shimmery ones to add a bit of glammer like Taupe, Moss and Conker. I have to say some of the colours aren't my cup of tea but that may be because I have every light skin and might look better on darker skin. However, saying that they are only £7.99 I still think they are worth it as its a good natural palette which does give you all the colours that you could want.

I did take a picture of the swatchs but my light in my Uni room is very yellow so they didn't show their really colours so didn't want to include it, so sorry you cant see testers of them.

I have been eyeing up the Sleek Storm palette as my next buy because that also has some lovely colours. If you are more adventurous with your make-up they do have lovely colourful palette's as well which are definitely worth a look at :)

Hope you've enjoyed reading, and speak to you soon
Bye :)

Lush Lip Scrub

Hello :) thought I would do a review on the Lush Lip Scrub today

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and have been using most days ever since, I know this properly isn't great for my lips but I just cant stop, I'm addicted to this product!
I bought the Bubblegum one because it just smells so amazing and is it such a lovely pink colour.

I have really dry and cracked lips and no matter what I do nothing seems to make them smooth, I have used so many lip balms and have used a dry toothbrush and flannel to to try and remove some of the dry skin and it just hasn't work! So I thought I'd would try this out and see if it could help because the lady in the shop was lovely and I thought at £5.25 it wasn't a bank breaker.

It had sugar size gains in it which remove the dry skin and leave your lips so much smoother, and a massive bonus is the sugar which is left you can just lick off and it tastes so good!! After I have just been applying some Carmex to moisturise the lips afterwards. I have to say that after using this for the last 2 weeks my lips have been noticeably smoother and looked so much healthier.

So if you have dry lip and haven't tried this I would really recommenced it as it's just a great all round produce and the smell is just so amazing so even if you don't want or need it I would still say just go smell it :)

Hope you've enjoyed this mini review, speak soon :)

Life on a farm

Went to my Grandparents farm today before returning to uni :)
I turned into a right little farmer, took some pictures of the animals and then drove a tractor for the first time!

Meet Doris the dash hound and Bubbles the Shetland pony :) they are the cutest (sorry about the mess that is my face). Doris is just a puppy and the funniest thing to watch as she runs round the yard and Bubbles is the most spoilt pony I know as she has the run of the farm.

After helping with the animals, Grandad took me on one of the tractors, it had 24 gears forward and back! Bit of a different drive to the Lamborghini last weekend! Hard to get used to but quite fun once I'd got going :) I spend some time going round the field then had the task of picking up some hay to take back for the horses, have to say it was a lot of fun.

Sorry for the rubbish photos, what happens when animals move to much! Had great fun and love spending time with my Grandparents :)
Hope you enjoyed reading and speck soon
Bye :)

Banyan

Last night I went out for a meal at Banyan in Harrogate, Yorkshire. Thought I'd do a blog post on it because the cocktails and food were just so good!

Banyan does have offers on through week which does save a lot of money because the drinks and food are a bit pricey even though they are delicious. We started off ordering cocktail and my favourite from there is their Skittles one, as you can see they just look amazing :) even though as the same with most cocktails its mostly ice, when they are 2-4-1 I think they are defiantly worth it.

For our mains I had a cheese burger and chips and my boyfriend has the ranch burger which was chicken, they both looked amazing and came on a wooden slab which I have to say looked very cool, but simple thinks make me happy :) I have to say the burger was fantastic and so filling, I would defiantly recommend them. As the same with the drinks the main meals were 2-4-£12.95 which I didn't think was that bad.

Even though the burger has incredibly filling, my favourite part of a meal is always the pudding so I had to fit it in. However, I forgot to take a picture which I am annoyed at but I can say it was amazing and I had the chocolate cake with clotted cream, ice cream :) so I do have to admit that I was rolled out the restaurant because I had eaten way to much.
Throughout the whole meal the service had been so good till the pudding because I think she had forgot I had wanted one, but she was very apologetic and was quick at getting it.

Overall I had a lovely night and if you are in the area I would recommend Banyan for food or drink, or if a bar need you does Skittle cocktails, try one!

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed :)

6th Gear Experience

So for christmas me and my brother were given a 6th gear experience day. We are both a bit car mad and I blame my dad for this, I do have a strange obsession with cars and going to look at them. For the last 5 years I have been a massive F1 fan and 2 years ago I was able to visit Silverstone and watch the British Grand Prix which was so amazing and the noise from the cars was just amazing.

I do have a lot more photos which are better and of the weekend, so even though it was 2 years ago if you would like I could also do a post on my F1 weekend.

However, from that weekend my love for cars has grown massively and when I turned 17 I was determined to pass my test so I would be able to drive myself, I have been driving for nearly 2 years now and this has meant that I was able to drive one of my favourite cars!

With the experiences me and my brother were given we were able to pick from a list of super cars, they were either an Audi R8, Aston Martin Vantage, Ariel Atom, Ferrari 380, Porsche 997 Turbo or a Lamborghini Gallardo. All of these cars are just amazing so having to pick which one we wanted to drive was going to be very hard! However, we both went for the Lamborghini because who wouldn't want to drive one of those. We both upgraded to the Lamborghini LP560 and on the 13/05/2013 our dreams came true.

The track was at Elvington, York and when we approached all you could see was various super cars going around the track so we just watched them for about 20 minutes because I have never seen a fantastic collection of cars before in my life. We had to register at 1.15 where we were told the layout of the day, which was a tour of the track then your drive then a high speed lap in a Radical.

Here are just some of the cars that were there on the day

We waited in the queue where a Range Rover would drive us around the track and give us an idea of what to expect when we went out for our drive.

Once we had in idea of the corners and the racing lines we had to take it we then just had to wait for our name to be called, even though we were waiting about 30 mins it didn't seem it as you just watched the other cars go in and out and listen to the cars as they flow around the track. I was driving first out of us, and I was introduced to my car, and this is what they allowed me to drive.

We had 3 laps and my first lap I have to admit was a bit rubbish because I was nervous and wasn't really sure what to do, however on the second lap I had so much more confidence I was able to put my foot down, the feeling when you are going that fast and you know your in control and how fast they brake is so incredible. By the last lap I hit around 130mph on the straight and the instructor in the car said I was quite a good driver which I did smile at. The only thing I wish is that there had been one more lap because I think I would have really been able to push myself as I knew what to do by then.

My brother then drove the same car and it was so good watching him because I knew where he would be braking and putting his foot down. We did have a competition between ourself and as I watched him go round I thought he had won, when we finished we compared scores and I was given 82/100 and he was given 81/100 and I was also 10 seconds faster. It was so close but I have to say I was so pleased I won!

We were then given a hot lap in a Radical were a professional driver takes you round. I have to say this thing is stupidly fast and I was a typical girl as a screamed the whole way round.

It only takes 3 seconds for this car to hit 60mph and can go 155mph, it's impressive how fast this was going around the track compare to the other cars, it made all the other super cars look slow!

As a car fan I have to say this was just an amazing day and experience and I feel so lucky to have been able to do this. I would recommend this as its a great gift and theres lots of different packages at different prices, under 17s can also drive some of the adapted cars so the whole family can have a go.

Hope you enjoyed my first post and I'll speak to you soon
Bye :)
