Uni Room

Hello again :)

So I have just finished my first year of university and I'm all moved out and back home for summer which I have to say is such a lovely feeling :) I thought I would do a post on my room at university so show everyone what a proper university room looks like :P because a lot of my friends had amazing accommodation and such nice rooms and then there was mine which was like a prison :P

I also thought this would be useful for people going to uni next year so you could what you needed or just get some ideas of what you want to do with your new room :)

So this was looking into my room, I went for a pink and blue theme as my Mum bought me a Jack Wills bed throw which I really loved so when round that. My towel and night jacket thing hung up on the side of my wardrobe so I could get to them easily :) fan was very useful because my flat was like an oven even in winter, so in the summer the fan was much needed! As you can see its a very small room with just the basics but I found that's all I needed. I shared with 7 people and we had a kitchen, toilet room and a shower room to share, which wasn't as bad as it sounds. Through the whole year I think I only waited for the shower once :)

These were my shelves above my desk :) as you can I had a mixture of things on them from uni books, cook books to teddies and things from family :) I found having homely stuff around my room really nice as when you were having a down day you just had little things to remind you of home :) under the shelves where my calender which had important stuff highlighted and kept me right with what day it was :P my most important photos where also there so when I was working I just looked up and saw everyone how is important to me there :)

I was really lucky to have no one looking into my room, this was my view and it was just a security road so it was hardly ever used so I felt like my little room was very private :)

I hope that this was useful for some people or just interesting to see someone else's university commodation! I also hope it's made some people a bit happier about where they were because out of all my friends my accommodation was properly the worst :P

Hope you've enjoyed reading and speak soon

Graze Box

Hello again :)

In my ASOS magazine the other day I received a promotion code for a free Graze Box. My brothers girlfriends bought he a couple for Christmas and he really enjoyed them so I thought as it was free I would give it ago :)

I had heard to received a free box you had to sign up and buy at least 4 to get the free one, however when I went onto the website I did have to sign up and put in card details in and it said  I was on a 'one box a week contract' however you can cancel your card at any time to the payments stop. So once my first box came I cancelled my card so i did have to start paying, if I really like them i might re-sign me and carry on my orders :)

On the website you can can say which snacks and nibbles you like and don't so they know what to send and what not to.

In my box I had a range of different things to try and they all come in separate boxes which I thought was so good because you could just put one in your handbag and just eat on the go instead on taking the whole box, even though the box itself isn't very big. I thought they were all lovely, I wasn't so keen on the sauce that came with the bread sticks but my mum liked it so she just ate that, and also some of the dried fruit but that was  mainly due to the fact I'm not a big lover of dried fruit.

Overall I have to say I did like the Graze box and thought the delivery was really good and the website was really helpful :) I'm glad I order a free one to try them, out but I'm not 100% sure if the snakes are my type of thing so properly wont keep getting them. If you like seeds, nuts and dried fruit these are for you, but if like me you aren't to sure what they are or just want to try them I would say find a code and just get the free box and see what you think :)

Have you ever tried the Graze boxes? And if not would you ever want to just see what they were like?

Hope you've enjoyed reading and speak soon

Topshop Nail Varnish

Hello again :)

Today I'm going to do a review on a couple of Topshop nail varnishes that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I bought them on my trip to Leeds and was on a bit of a polish hype so wanted to try a couple of them out.

I bought the 'Air Kisses' which is a lovely bright blue and 'Parma Violet' which is a pastel purple colour. Both colours a love and think they look really nice together, I haven't plucked up the courage to wear the blue just on its own yet because it is very bright, however when the sun decides to show itself I might brave it then.

I wore this the week I went away for my university trip and I have to say I was very impressed with the way that it stayed and hardly chipped the whole week. Saying that I was out and about and climbing up hill I think that they are very good polishes, have a long lasting time and are chip resistant. You do have to apply 2 coats to achieve the true vibrate colour.

The packaging was also a selling point, I have to admit I have a sucker for good packing and I just think the Topshop make-up just looks to lovely with the typography they use and the cute polka dot design.

What is your favourite nail polish brand and colour? Would love to hear :)

Hope you enjoyed reading and speak soon

Lake District

Hello again :)

So I've just finished my first year of university studying geography and last week we went on a field trip to the Lake District to finish off the year after exams. It was a module so the work we did did count but I have to say the trip was a lot better then revising.

I used to go to the Lake District when I was little quite a lot as we went camping and day trips out, however I haven't been for a couple of years so was really lovely to go back and see the amazing views again :)

We were there for 4 days and on the Monday and the Wednesday it rain which was a bit of a pain because we had to work in the rain! On the Tuesday we went for a walk up one of the hardest hills I've ever had to walk up, the walk totalled 7 hours and quite a lot of it we had to use our hands as we scrambled to the top. I did moan a bit as it was long and hard but I have to say the views were worth it.

The pictures were taken on my phone so they aren't the best of quality and I have to say no photo really shows a true representation of a view like this, I love fell walking just for the view from the top, if you've never been I would definitely recommend going just make sure you have all the equipment and you have some standard of fitness because they do take it out of you.

On the trip we stayed in these caravans need Windermere and they were so lovely, they had a large living area and really nice kitchens and as in most caravans the sleeping areas where tiny with 2 very small beds squished in.

I really enjoyed the trip and thought it was such a good way to end the year and get to know everyone a little better :)

Have you ever been to the Lakes? And if so what was your favourite thing?

Hope you enjoyed reading and will speak to you soon
Bye :)

Typical Geography Student

Hello again :)

At my university accommodation I have a notice board in my room, to start with I just had flyers and leaflets however I didn't like how it looked so thought I would buy a world map and pin it onto the board, just like a proper geography student should do :P

I love the world map because I love looking at it and picking places I would like to visit and travel round. Hopefully my next adventure will be Australia and New Zealand, but also I would love to travel around the USA but in particular California :) I love visiting places and experiencing new places, and having the map up on my wall just reminds me how big the earth is and how much I still have to see!

However, I as a student so I had to put university stuff round the outside which I thought was a nice idea as it filled the rest of the board but also had flyers and leaflets that I liked. Some are just like doctors card, university information but I also have bars and clubs and also some sporting events I have been to over the last year :) at the top of the board I have my wristbands that I collected over freshers week and kept them as I thing they are good to remember :)

So where has been your favourite place to visit in the world and where is your next adventure hopefully going to be?

Hope you've enjoyed reading and speck to you soon
Bye :)

My Cambridge Satchel

Hello again :)

For Christmas my parents bought me a Cambridge Satchel in dark Brown with the letters KT embossed on the top in gold. I wanted to do a blog post on this because I love this bag so much and use it most days so thought I would share it with you guys because they are such a lovely statement bag :)

For university I was using an old backpack for the lectures however this was to big and I didn't really like it any more, so for Christmas asked for a smaller but nicer bag to put my lecture stuff into. The one I have is the second to biggest size of the the classics and I find that it fits my A4 notepads, nurse, pens, phone and keys in which is all I need for my every day university life. I have fallen in love and think its such a lovely bag for this and a bit different :) I also use this bag for everyday shopping because it's also a good size to fit in what I take for shopping trips and day outs.

My mum put the letters KT on my bag because when I was younger this is how I used to spell my name (I thought I was cool), I quite like it because it makes the bag more original and personalised to me :) the leather is very stiff and shiny which is nice and its brand new and smells like proper leather, however when scratches do appear I think it just adds character to the bag as it will last me so many years :)

So overall I believe this bag is so good for many reasons and also will get better in time as its one of them bags you will keep for so many years :) I definitely think they are worth the price.

So which bag are you in love with at the moment and if you have a Cambridge Satchel what are your thought?

Hope you've enjoyed reading and speck soon

Revision and Exams

Hello again :) today's post is a bit of a boring one but it's a large part of my life at the moment (unfortunately)

As with many other people my age and younger its coming to that time of the year where exams and revision take over your life because we are lead to believe they are the most important things in our life. For the past couple of months I've been getting ready for the final exams of my first year of university. Even though these do not count towards my final exam, me being me needs to prove to myself that I can do well and I also believe that this will help me with the transition of workload between years one and two of university.

As you can see from the pictures revision makes my room a mess as I have all my books and notes around me at all times. I do stress quite a lot round exam time and as my first one is tomorrow lets just say i'm not exactly relaxed right now :P however it will all be worth while as I have such a long summer :)

So how do you cope with exams and revision? Got any tips?

Speck to you soon and hope you enjoyed reading

Favourite Spring/Summer Lipsticks

Hello again, today I thought I would show you 2 of my favourite lipsticks that I'm lovely at the moment

Both of them are high end and do cost quite a lot but I think that high end lipsticks are worth it as their colours are vibrant and they stay on your lips for so long :)

My first one is from NARS and its there satin lip pencil in the colour YU. This isn't a typical lipstick as its a pencil and the colour stains your lips so you dont have a keep applying it which I love. The colour is a bight pink and is quite glossy.

I'm addicted to the colour and find myself reaching for it most days now. When I've been out people have noticed it and asked what it is and where can you get it, which I have to say I do enjoy :P

My second love it M.A.Cs matte lipstick in Candy Yum Yum. This lipstick has been raved about over the last month or so and I just couldn't resist not picking one up as I'm lovely bold and bright lips at the moment. I have to say when I saw it in the show I new it was going to be a great buy and I wasn't wrong. I wear this as more of a statement lipstick as its more bright Barbie pink and its just so gorgeous.

The picture doesn't do it justice but it's such an amazing colour and it puts me in such a good mood when I wear it.

The colours do look very similar but in real life and on the lips they are completely different as the NARS has more of a red tint and the M.A.C is just pure pink :)

What lipsticks are you loving and can recommend for me to try over the spring and summer?

Hope you've enjoyed reading and ill speck to you soon
Bye :)
